Giving Composers a Voice

As a cellist, Kyle regularly performs music ranging from Bach to Berio, in both a soloistic and ensemble setting. He frequently performs contemporary works with Ensemble Ibis of the Frost School of Music, and collaborates with composers to create new works for the cello. Every summer since 2020 Kyle has organized a call for scores. These calls have been free to the composers and provided all selected works with performances and recordings. Recently, he has been reviewed by the South Florida Classical Review for his performance with Ensemble Ibis, the review stating, "Kyle Pearl’s burnished cello solo . . . encompassed the work’s passionate moods."
